I coined the term Visual Jazz as the moniker for my visual, artistic voice, as it rings true to my love for music–especially improvisational jazz.
My Visual Jazz paintings are improvisational and this language has a tempo, tone, and color that correlates well to jazz music. Color, shape, texture, movement, and rhythm build my visual language. They consist of layered imagery, implied movement, bold cutouts, and compelling shapes. This style is Visual Jazz.
